# Connect and work with Workmates

Connect Gideon to your Workmate agents when you want to delegate work across the two products and bring results back into your conversation.

## Connect your account
Open **Connections → Workmates**. Use the same sign-in identity for Workmates and Gideon. If connection fails, confirm the account identity before retrying.

## Choose permissions
Read access to agents, teams, conversations, and task results is part of the connection. Choose whether to allow:
- **Communicate:** send messages, delegate work, and cancel tasks.
- **Manage:** create and update agents, teams, and sections.

Click **Connect Workmates** or **Update permissions**, then read the saved status. Connecting or updating replaces any existing Neo connection to Workmates for this account. Review that replacement before confirming in the product.

## Delegate a bounded job
Ask Gideon to identify the intended Workmate and give it clear inputs, an output, and an action boundary. Follow the returned task or conversation result. A delegated task being created is not the finished outcome.

> Ask my connected research Workmate to compare these sources and return a cited table. Do not send the result outside our workspace. Bring back the findings and any missing evidence.

## Renew or disconnect
The connection can display an expiry date. Reconnect to renew access when needed. **Disconnect** removes the link; confirm the resulting status and review any ongoing work separately. Removing a connection is not proof that an earlier delegated task was cancelled.
