Inbox and attention

Last reviewed

Gideon brings incoming items and requests for your attention into the workspace. Use the Inbox for incoming material and Mission Control to see where ongoing work needs you.

Work through an item

Read its source and context. Review a suggested reply before sending it, and confirm the destination. Drafting a response and sending one are separate actions.

Mute or dismiss items when appropriate. A muted thread can be excluded from future ingestion; do not use mute for something you still need to monitor actively.

Understand notifications

Settings includes notification preferences and per-kind delivery rules. Quiet hours, severity, and mute controls affect whether an event is delivered. A per-kind rule can use immediate delivery, a badge, a digest, or no delivery.

A notification that is suppressed by a global preference is not necessarily held for later delivery. Review your settings if an expected alert did not arrive.

Respond to a request for input

Read the action, the resource it touches, and the scope being requested. Approve only the described work you intend. If the run is blocked by a missing file or a decision, provide that context and check that progress resumes.

Delivery depends on the destination

Dashboard delivery and configured channel delivery are distinct. A saved push or native-notification preference does not by itself establish that a particular companion app can receive it. Test the destination you intend to rely on.
