Meet Gideon

Last reviewed

Gideon is your personal AI agent: a place to talk, keep context, and carry work through to a useful result. This guide introduces Gideon as Neo’s replacement in Centra.

Start with something useful

You do not need to configure a team or design an automation to begin. Open Chat, describe one outcome, and add the material Gideon should use. Read Your first conversation for a complete example.

One agent, connected work

  • Chat is where you ask, refine, and review.
  • Knowledge holds your reference material; Memory carries useful context between conversations.
  • Projects organize context and tasks for a larger outcome.
  • Goals and loops keep working across multiple turns. Workflows describe a repeatable process.
  • Apps and Connections let Gideon work with services you choose.
  • Inbox and Mission Control bring requests for your attention together.

Hosted or self-hosted

In hosted Gideon, models, voice, and runtime updates are managed for you. Connect your own services when a task needs them. You do not need a model API key to follow the hosted learning path.

If you run Gideon yourself, use the separate self-hosting guide. Local installation, provider setup, and host administration apply to that path.

Coming from Neo

Start with the workspace tour. Gideon uses Knowledge, Files, Artifacts, and Automations as distinct surfaces. Do not assume an old Neo control has the same name or behavior. This learning-site replacement does not itself migrate old conversations or account data.
